Before I jump into the ingredients that I’ve found to work for my skin, I want to share a little about how our skin works, and what makes a skin cream good or bad. We get fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin because of the loss of collagen and elastin, this is the Real Cause of Aging.

Collagen is a fibrous protein. Collagen has tensile strength, which means that it makes your skin firm.  As you start to age, you start losing collagen, and your skin starts to sag. When this happens, more and more wrinkles and fine lines appear on your skin.  Elastin is also a protein that helps your skin remain young, firm and flexible. When your skin gets stretched, elastin is the substance that helps it return to normal and reduce Cause of Aging.

The problem is that you cannot apply collagen and elastin directly to your skin, because the protein molecules are too big to be absorbed by your skin.  So what does this mean for you?

It means that you should avoid buying skin care creams, moisturizers and gels that give you the appearance of nice looking skin, but in reality do nothing more than mask the problem.  When you wash most creams off, the illusion is removed, which is why you want to look for a cream that stimulates your body to create its own collagen and elastin.

When you find a product like this, you’ll be glad you did, because the effects are surprising. At least that is what I’ve personally experienced. Now, pay attention, because what I’m about to share with you is extremely important if you want to look younger naturally.  Many skin care companies will try to trick you by including some really nice ingredients. They put in just enough of these expensive ingredients in their products so they can list them on the product label.  This makes you believe that you’re getting high-quality ingredients, when in fact they haven’t put enough in there to make a difference.

It’s like eating healthy. If you only eat one piece of fruit a day, it won’t make a big difference. You need to eat the correct amount, and you have to avoid chemicals, pesticides and herbicides!

Many companies cannot afford to use enough of these high-quality ingredients, because they spend their whole budget on marketing.

Finding an effective, natural skin care product isn’t just about finding one with proven ingredients, it’s also about finding a skin cream that has the right amount of the right ingredients.

Collagen & Elastin

After what you have learned about collagen and elastin, you may be a bit confused as to what ingredients you are supposed to use. In the beginning, I was confused as well, but there are some really good, proven effective ingredients, which I will talk about more below. The only thing you should remember is not to fall for a product that claims to contain collagen, and therefore be effective in reducing wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin. It wasn’t until I found natural product ingredients that naturally stimulate collagen and elastin in my body that I started to notice a big difference in my skin.

Phytessence Wakame

Phytessence Wakame is an exotic sea kelp that is found in the Japanese sea. It has been proven to block a harmful enzyme called hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase breaks down a very important substance in your body called hyaluronic acid. As we age, our bodies lose a lot of CoQ10, which is why it is wise to start using a skin cream with high-quality CoQ10 as early as possible. There are many different forms of Coenzyme Q10.
